2022 was a big year for our Batemans Bay Pavilion Project. This complex project began construction in September 2020 and finally saw its first open day on 4 June 2022, attracting more than 1000 people on its first open day.

During the 2-year construction period, many challenges were faced such as COVID-19, which took great minds to overcome, and we are proud to say that this wellness hub is very successful. It is a key facility within the Batemans Bay local area; having memberships reach their maximum capacity before it even opened.

In July 2022, we were elated to be awarded alongside NBRS as the winner for Sport and Leisure Facility Design, during the 2022 Australian Sport, Recreation and Play Innovation Awards in July 2022.

And again, in November 2022, when NSW Public Works won the Regional NSW Project award for this facility at the Australian Institute of Project Management’s Achievement Awards. Followed by ADCO Constructions’ win at the 2022 Master Builders Association of NSW’s “Excellence in Construction” Award for Public Buildings $60 Million and over.

We are excited and greatly motivated to continue our efforts in designing unique community buildings that are inclusive, accessible, and diverse, serving themselves to the identity and wellness of a community and acting as a key social hub for all users.
