We’re excited to announce that construction has officially begun on the new 10-lane, 50-meter lap pool at Arena Joondalup (formerly known as HBF Arena), set to be completed in early 2026.

This project will deliver a state-of-the-art swimming facility designed to enhance accessibility, safety, and competition features. The pool will include:

• Advanced anti-drowning technology to support lifeguards in ensuring patron safety.
• A submersible swim wall to allow for flexible configurations, and support multiple sports, and community swim programs.
• Accessibility improvements including the addition of a ramp and stairs, providing users with mobility challenges the ability to enter and exit the water independently.

The upgrades don’t stop at the pool itself. The expanded aquatic hall will feature a larger pool deck, and upgraded timing rooms. The Arena Swim Club office will be refurbished, and a larger LED video display will provide an enhanced experience for events. Visitors can also look forward to updated change rooms with universal access toilets, an improved HVAC system, additional storage, a maintenance washdown area, and better driveway access to streamline traffic flow.
