One of our director’s, Carl Payne, was going through our archives and has discovered this forgotten gem!  One of the very rewarding aspects of designing buildings for local communities is the interaction and immediate effect that our work can have on a place.  This drawing is the result of the Lance Holt School children’s drawing class, with a just little bit of colour added by us.  The school made a great card out of it for the opening of the building!

Built back in 2009, we focused heavily on sustainability (including the solar panels) and sensitivity to the heritage context (including a bridge between new and old – labelled ‘bride’ above), and won a commendation from the Fremantle Heritage Committee for our work.  See the below photos of how it turned out.
